Enjoying the New Specialty of Nara: Mahoroba Daibutsu Pudding

Nestled in the lush surroundings of Nara is the flagship store of "Mahoroba Daibutsu Pudding," also known as the "Pudding Forest." This whimsical, pudding-colored building looks like it came straight out of a storybook. Here, you can enjoy their famous puddings and exclusive soft-serve ice cream.

As you ride the bus through tranquil scenery, the fairytale-like pudding-colored building suddenly appears. This enchanting exterior is perfect for photos and your social media feed!

"Mahoroba Daibutsu Pudding" comes in two sizes. The large size offers a nostalgic, firm texture with a rich egg flavor, while the small size boasts a melt-in-your-mouth smoothness, like premium cream.

My top recommendation is the “Daibutsu Pudding Roll.” This treat features a roll cake wrapped around pudding, with slightly bitter caramel jelly and fluffy pudding mousse inside a soft soufflé cake. The sweetness is just right, and it pairs wonderfully with iced tea.

Additionally, you can take home a souvenir cup bearing the Daibutsu logo.
